Here's I give another glimpse into my own dance. I submit to the world a page about my youngest son Alexander.
This is his world it is full of superhero's and everything else that makes a Seven year old boy a normal boy
He is the Proud child of two computer junkies. Be forewarned we are as proud of him as he is of us...
Other facts about William Alexander. He was born on March 30th 1998. his first days of life were not you average start He came into this world and was born of love. He loves to be called Alex or little one or even munchkin. Then he proved to be a survivor. He was diagnosed at age 14 days with a Gram positive staph infection of the lymph nodes. Time moved on and Alex grew and well grew. He is every thing a little boy should be. As a toddler he was sweet caring and a delightful child.
One spring Alex got really sick, we could not understand how the flu could ravage him so much. On April 7,2003 we took our munchkin to the pediatrician. Alex could not hold anything down and was drinking 1.5 liters of water around the clock. noticed a fruity breath smell when the only thing we could get into him was water. It did not makes sense. The Pediatrician took his blood sugar. it was 354. For those that see this that is a high number. We did not think of diabetes. The doctor asked us again about Alexander's medical history and family history. We told him about me his mother being a hypoglycemic and his grandparents on my side having Type 2 diabetes the kind that can be treated with diet and medication. We rushed Alexander to Children's medical center in Dallas. That is when we learned at that moment he was going through what they called Diabetic Ketoacidosis which is also known as DKA.
That was the begining of a new life for Alexander.
